Today Amity Fire and Rescue, Monarch Fire Company, Boyertown Fire Company and Oley Fire Company for RIT, were dispatched to 103 Balsam Road, Amity Township, for a reported Structure Fire. Engine 49 and Chief 49 arrived on location to find a fire in the wall next to the fire place. Crews removed the chimney front and the interior wall to extinguish the fire. Crews from Quint 6 and Ladder 15 assisted with ladders and searching for extension on the roof. After extensive overhaul, Chief 49 terminated Amity Township Command and all units returned. Thanks to all companies that assisted at the incident.
